Summerfest Kick-Off Party

Get the week of Summerfest off to a great start with an evening of live music, storytelling, and a free sweet treat. Treats will be given out at 6:30 pm.
Award-winning storyteller Kim Weitkamp & local musician and storyteller Sam Payne will be headlining the event with music, humor, and heart. Kim is world-famous for her work as a humorist, storyteller, singer, and songwriter. Her songs and stories can often be heard on NPR and Sirius XM. She has won numerous awards and recognitions including the Blue Ridge Excellence in the Arts Award, the Toastmasters International Leadership in Communication Award and seven World Storytelling Awards.
Please bring a blanket or lawn chair and come enjoy a wonderful evening with your family. This is a free event with free treats!
